Chicago Force helps to "Give Girls Game"

The Chicago Force partnered with the Sky Cares Foundation, the Chicago Park District, Girls in the Game, Girls on the Run, the Women's Sport Foundation, and the Mayor's Fitness Council in a Fitness Festival held at SEO Field at UIC. Over 600 girls, ages 8-16, gathered to show they "have game", share a unified message of wanting access to more sports and fitness opportunities, and to experience a day of active fun with girls citywide!

Girls from all over Chicagoland participated in various exercise drills, visited interactive festival stations, and met female collegiate, professional and semi-professional athletes, as well as corporate women in the sporting and business fields. Enthusiastic chants of "Give Girls Game" echoed through the neighborhood as all involved voiced their support for creating access and opportunities for girls.

A dozen members of the Chicago Force Football team assisted with the warm up by dividing the girls into squads for the experience of team exercises Chicago Force style! Hundreds of girls also won tickets to an upcoming Force game by throwing a football through a target at the interactive Force booth. The Force is excited to host these dynamic girls!
